About Charles C. Taylor, Ed.S., LPC
Charles C. Taylor is a practicing member with the Jasper office of A Calling Consulting and Wellness, LLC, where he is devoted to helping others through Consultation, Referral, and Education. He has been in practice for over twenty-eight years and has broad experience and extensive training in community mental health and community advocacy. Charles has long term experience evaluating and treating adults, adolescents, and families, as well as helping individuals work through everyday living issues.
He also has experience assisting those with mental illness, anxiety, depression, conduct problems, and related behavioral issues. He has received and facilitated training involving youth gang activities, adolescent treatment issues, treatment access, and community resources, and serves as an instructor for the State of Alabama Unified Judicial System Administrative Office of Courts. He has worked with and served as a consultant for Alternative School students to help ‘at risk’ teens make healthier choices.
He has long term and ongoing experience in coordination of resources for client screening, assessment, and provision of case management to individuals referred by the courts and the criminal justice system. Charles has worked throughout his career in the design, development, implementation, and management of new programs and curriculums and assisting clients in need of help with personality disorders, mental illness, substance abuse, and behavioral issues. He has helped others to formulate constructive long and short-term goals, and to develop and implement approaches for ongoing resolution of individual, relationship, family, and interpersonal issues. His background includes staff management and supervision and he has worked over time with local law enforcement agencies for appropriate client placement, and acts as a main conduit of information between team members, referral sources, and related agencies to assure appropriate client care.
Charles is a frequent speaker at community advocacy functions and serves on local and state level panels to further develop and implement services to help others in need. He lives in Jasper, Alabama, is interested in Jazz and Classical music, and is a devoted husband and father.
